MGJA (Version 1.0)2
The Michigan General Jural Assembly formed in January, 2010, according to a timeline on its website. The MGJA sent the following communications, according to the timeline...

- October, 2011: Sent a letter to "Republic for the united States of America" (RuSA), meaning James Timothy Turner, separating MGJA from that organization.
- January, 2012: Sent a package to The Hague.
- April, 2012: Published in The Wall Street Journal.
- April, 2012: Sent a "Letter of Rogatory" to JAG, Michigan Governor, (Michigan?) Secretary of State, (Michigan?) Attorney General, State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and US Marshall Service.

Anna von Reitz first mentioned the MGJA in February, 2016, in an article (#176) where she rebutted John Daresh of the National Liberty Alliance (NLA).
She followed up in her very next article (#177) praising Michigan General Jural (Society). She cited them as an ally (#178) and praised the information they provided (#179).
During an interview in April of 2016, Anna observed...
We have to get our own government on the land back up and in order to operate again as expeditiously as possible and we can be helped in that by the efforts of a group of people in Michigan who, back at the time of the bankruptcy of the United States of America, Inc., which was settled in 1999, realized that they had to make a claim on the land and its assets. They had to reinstitute their land-based government or lose it.
These people in Michigan formed the Michigan General Jural Assembly and organized their counties on the land and they elected key people to fill the vacant public offices and they placed their claim with the World Court in the Hague. They also gave public notice in the Wall Street Journal and other publications around the world. Because the state of Michigan got its act together they put their foot in the door and preserved the claim for all the other states under the equal footing doctrine. What is good for one is good for all. We are all in that contract. So, Michigan saved our bacon. At the time, they also began the effort to try to get other states and other counties to organize. The end result is that they have bequeathed to us precious opportunity and the grounding to continue on the claim to be [T]he United States of America and to retain our jurisdiction. (#207)
Throughout the rest of 2016, 2017, and the first half of 2018, Anna praised, promoted, and recommended MGJA. (#222, #235, #273, #283, #359, #371, #498, #506, #513, #519, #524, #532, #533, #534, #583, #598, #637, #690, #695, #787, #794, #803, #823, #826, #857, #871, #878, #896, #902, #908, #911, #918, #984, #990, #1000, #1022, #1033, #1057, #1059)
In August, 2018, Anna heard that some members of MGJA were not doing paperwork. She said...
I have just been informed that there are arguments raging through the National Assembly groups and even among members of the Michigan General Jural Assembly about doing or not doing the paperwork to reclaim your birthright political status.
It seems that some people think it's okay for British citizens to take part in American Jural Assemblies. Some people think its not necessary to declare your political status as an American.
This, even after the whole situation has been blown open for all to see, even after they have been told --- "Hey, the record says you are a British citizen."
I am here to tell you that it's not okay for Brits to serve on an American Jural Assembly.
If you find anyone in your Jural Assembly who hasn't recorded their political status, they are to do so immediately, and if they refuse they are to be kicked out without further ceremony.
I am here to tell you that not only can you get into trouble -- as a British citizen--- for taking part in an American Jural Assembly, but the validity of the actions of your Assemblies can be tainted and called into question if you allow any such wishy-washy.
Its time to pledge your lives, your fortunes and your sacred honor--- or stay home and squat as a British tenant on your own land.
Every single member of your Jural Assembly needs to do the paperwork to reclaim their Good Name and political birthright and if they don't, they have no business being involved. (#1193)
During that period, Anna had been working on developing recommended templates for people to use to free themselves and their assets from the fraudsters. That package of materials became know as the "928 Documents," and has been used by many people to provide themselves more protection so they can participate in their Land Jurisdiction Government. The name is based on the Article Number, #928, which was published on April 7, 2018 (seven days after The 15th of Nisan).
By November, 2018, Anna was still positive towards MGJA but was starting to question their leniency about status-correction paperwork. (#1375)
In January, 2019, Anna began writing the articles that eventually became The Jural Assembly Handbook. (#1501)
In February, 2019, Anna concluded that some of those running the MGJA were running it as a psy-op and disinformation campaign (#1573), but she was still generally supportive of what they had been doing, especially compared to where other States were at (#1581).
It's too bad that so many members of the military have been duped, but that is the fact.
They need to get their indoctrination out of the way. They need to examine the actual history and the meanings of the words. They need to stop getting sidetracked and stop accusing others of being "compromised" when it is all too clear that they have led themselves and others into a false political status and have left the people of this country at a profound disadvantage.
I am not supporting the current efforts of the MGJA and do not recommend that anyone continue to participate in this process without taking steps to declare their proper political status on the public record.
Failure to do so leaves people as "sitting ducks" for federal agents and agencies.
And continued obstinate ignorance about the actual history of this country only leaves the festering wounds and all the attendant problems to fester some more.
If anyone tells you that you don't have to formally expatriate from Territorial and Municipal US Citizenship in order to exercise your birthright political status, that person is lying to you.
If anyone tells you that your current efforts negate what other Assemblies have accomplished, that person is lying to you.
If anyone says that you can just wave your hands and do as you please without regard for the history and treaties and jurisdictions of the law-- that person is lying to you.
Whether they are doing so knowingly or unknowingly, they are still lying. And you are at risk from listening to them.
The Federal entities have always allowed Dual Citizenship so from their perspective you don't have to expatriate--- but from our perspective as the States and People, there is only one (1) State Citizenship.
Any Federal Dual Citizen taking part in our Assembly taints the lawful processes we need to engage in. Not only are such persons ineligible to claim State National or State Citizenship, but they must be held suspect as Undeclared Foreign Agents.
This is the law and the fact.
Anyone who won't declare their singular allegiance to their State needs to be kicked out of your meetings and not allowed to take part in your Assemblies.
The land and soil jurisdiction States allow no conflict of interest and no deviation from the principle that no man can serve two masters.
This is in fact why the provisions against Titles of Nobility and the "Missing" Thirteenth Amendment of the actual Federal Constitution exist. (#1573)
After that, she cut ties with MGJA and criticized them during much of 2019. (#1609, #1612, #1619, #1625, #1627, #1629, #1634, #1636, #1638, #1641, #1643, #1645, #1650, #1653, #1674, #1720, #1733, #1738, #1790, #1798, #1800, #1804, #1820, #1870, #1943, #1978, #1981, #1984, #2026, #2036, #3566 in March, 2022)
Anna summarized her main concerns about MGJA in Article #1800: 1) They allowed people in the Assembly to retain US Citizenship, and 2) They had set things up to act as Settlors, not Fiduciaries.
settlor 1. Someone who makes a settlement of property; esp., one who sets up a trust -- Also termed creator; donor; trustor; grantor; founder. 2. A party to an instrument -- Also spelled (in both senses) settler. (Black's Law Dictionary, 11th, p.1650)
MGJA did not update their timeline in 2018, nor anytime afterwards.

Fake State
On May 18, 2019, Anna wrote an article addressing a group in Pennsylvania and a group in Michigan each claiming to represent their States (#1817). She told them they...
...don't have proper standing without everyone in their Assembly doing the paperwork and reclaiming their singular allegiance to their State.
She told them their versions of "Assemblies" would be dropped from The American States Assemblies roster and they would not be listed as Coordinators. Apparently they had been TASA-endorsed at the time.

In her May 11, 2019 article commenting on the discredited MGJA (#1800), Anna said...
The Michigan State Assembly has been summoned, the members have withdrawn from any presumed Dual citizenship, and stand in their capacity as the People of Michigan. Once this is all sorted out and everyone is on the same page, elections will be called and the People of Michigan acting as an Electoral Assembly will hold Public Elections and act as the Settlors of their own State's National Trust. Everyone will receive back their own private estates to settle the private property assets, too.
Presumably she was not talking about the group she rejected as a "Fake State" seven days later. (See above.)
There is evidence a Michigan Assembly with proper standing eventually came together because, as of September of 2020, that Assembly held a Roll Call Vote to enroll Post-Civil War States into The Union.

That evidence can be found at The American States Assemblies (TASA) "Federal Record" webpage.

That same Assembly held another Roll Call Vote in January of 2021 agreeing to a Public Law prohibiting commercial ownership of living people. That can also be found at the TASA Federal Record webpage.

Around that time, Anna wrote an article (#3100) warning people to not change the 928 Package paperwork. Apparently, some people had made changes to forms, altering the content in ways that nullified their effect. People in the Michigan Assembly had been involved in this, as well as people in other State Assemblies.
A followup article (#3102) recognized that the altered forms did not come through Recording Secretaries, but were instead entered into the Land Recording System (LRS) by "individual unknown people."
A few months later in July, 2021, Anna wrote Article #3230, "Meltdown In Michigan." Investigations into questions about the altered paperwork ultimately resulted in one of the Michigan Assembly Recording Secretaries behaving strangely and the Coordinator quitting. As a result, Anna dissolved the Michigan Assembly.
Dissolution led to more bad behavior, including destruction of digital records (#3241). Her next article explains what went on in other states (#3242).
So the way I [Anna] read this, Texas, Utah, California, and Colorado were targeted and attacked, while Michigan and Hawaii and possibly Nebraska, had “sleeper cells” of people who had infiltrated and were undermining morale and progress in those States.
Someone said that I was cleaning house and I hope to do a good job of it. Assembling a nation is a serious job and responsibility. There are a lot of Big Business interests that don’t want to see us succeed, and a lot of Federal Agencies that are armed to the teeth and do whatever they are told, no questions asked.
Every assembly and every assembly member has to be clued in and vigilant and has to know that these things happen. And it’s the Federation’s job to make sure things don’t go astray on the road to get where we are going.
The end of that article summarized where people would be if the Federation had not been doing its job.
A third article (#3243) described the importance of "peaceably" assembling, the role of the Federation as the Summoning Authority, and the fact that Assemblies are supposed to be organized by committee.
There have also been attempts to commandeer our Assemblies and redefine them as corporate structures with executive powers and familiar corporate hierarchical structures --- but this is not the form of the American Government.
Assembly Chairmen are not CEO's brandishing executive power. Chairmen are Spokespersons.
Similarly, Recorders are not "Officers" of an Assembly. They are employees of their Assembly, paid or not.
We understand that people are familiar with corporations and have lived their lives with corporations running their businesses and schools and other institutions, but the plain fact is that our American Government is not a corporation, doesn't function as a corporation, and doesn't harbor the same kind of organizational structure, compartmentalization, or hierarchy.
These three articles all resulted from Anna's analysis of the Michigan Assembly "meltdown."
Anna talked more about the former Michigan Assembly situation in several articles over the next several months. (#3257, #3260, #3261, #3365, #3403, #3418)
The Roll Call Votes taken by this failed Assembly are still valid because the people involved had standing at the time. Even though they are no longer in the Assembly, their work endures because they were properly "papered up," unlike the people in the MGJA.

Anna announced The Michigan Assembly (TMA) had been reinstated in the final paragraph of an April, 2022 article (#3612).
The following information is first-hand knowledge of the author of this Michiganian Free Press article...
The Coordinator of the new Assembly had established a Telegram social media channel for the Public about three months prior to the July, 2021 "meltdown."
As part of his plan to be reinstated by the Federation, the Coordinator wrote and established the TMA Roadmap and TMA Agreement. The Roadmap set the rules and direction for the Assembly, placing a lot of emphasis on keeping people with conflicts of interest out of the Assembly. The purpose of the Agreement was to obtain buy-in and cooperation with the Roadmap from each Assembly Member.
The Assembly altered the TMA logo to differentiate it from the logo established by the people in the previous Assembly.
The Coordinator established regular video conference meetings with the Public using Zoom.
The Recording Secretaries developed and published a manual to formalize and document their procedures. It addressed many of the concerns about paperwork that contributed to the failure of the previous Assembly. The Assembly created a website...
https://themichiganassembly.org
...and its primary functions were educating the Public and helping people correct their political status.
The Assembly began meeting as a General Assembly in March of 2023, and elected seven people to serve as State Citizens in the Michigan International Business Assembly.
The Assembly sent notice packages to each of the 274 JUDICIARY COURTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN in early 2023.
The Assembly also sent notice packages to each of the 83 corporation County Sheriffs.
The contents of those notices are available for people to read at the Assembly's Public Notices webpage.
The Michigan Coordinator spent eight days in the Cheboygan County Jail as a result of exercising his right to travel in Berrien County, where he had previously lived. He was able to truncate his maltreatment by using knowledge from Anna von Reitz, TASA, ASN's on michigan, and ASN's on other states. The Michigan Assembly Litigation Committee was very active during that time helping him and other Members who were having difficulties with corporation policy enforcement agents and court personnel.
The Assembly is currently (March 3, 2024) training Members in preparation for setting up The Four Pillars.
3 The American Federation Fiduciary removed the Michigan Coordinator for cause and appointed a new State Coordinator on April 22, 2024.
The new Michigan Coordinator held her first TMA General Assembly meeting on April 23, 2024 (15th of Nisan).
The American Federation Fiduciary attended a meeting led by the prior Coordinator and dissolved TMA as a result of that meeting on April 27, 2024. (AVR #4773)
Michigan Assembly (Version 4.0)
The new Michigan Coordinator began building a new Assembly for the michigan people, and held the first General Assembly meeting on April 30, 2024. Michigan continues to have a Land Jurisdiction State Assembly in Session.
UPDATE, April 21, 2024...
1 Yesterday, Anna von Reitz published an article updating and clarifying her history and interactions with the MGJA and similar groups (#tbd). Rather than try to repeat or interpret anything, the Michiganian Free Press (MFP) simply encourages readers to read what she said.
The MFP appreciates Anna taking the time to help everyone understand what happened and to build bridges with people.
The MFP believes everyone on michigan needs to set aside their parochial views, grasp "the big picture," and work together to provide the de jure government that existed until it was displaced in the 1860's, and that the michigan people are owed.
If there are any errors in the summary, above, the MFP would like to know specifically what they are so they can be corrected. That summary was largely based on AVR articles and there was certainly no intention to misrepresent anything.
This is a complicated and long story, and the MFP has simply been attempting to study and comprehend history in order to avoid repeating it, and has tried to help others do the same.
UPDATE, May 2, 2024...
2 Added an Assembly "version number" to the MGJA and adjusted the numbers of the subsequent Michigan Assemblies to match what other people have been calling them.
3 Updated the timeline to include recent events.
UPDATE, May 5, 2024...
The following AVR articles relate to the dissolution of TMA Version 3.0...

Article 4779, Our Peacekeepers, April 29, 2024.
UPDATE, May 6, 2024...
The following AVR article also seems to have some relevance to the dissolution of TMA Version 3.0.
Article 4755, International Public Notice: The Brits, Again, April 15, 2024.
Here are some excerpts from AVR #4755...
Unfortunately, when we refer to "the Brits" being at the bottom of every dogpile, which they are, it is not always so easy to discern their presence because they hide behind every storefront and corporate name they can dream up.
...
Sometimes you have to dig to find the Brit in the woodpile, but they are always there, and it is this fact and the fact that they are profiting from these venal activities, taken together, that establishes reasonable proof that they are "the" source of the problem.
After you have investigated a couple thousand debacles and they all have a Brit at the bottom of them, and while you continue to repeat this finding every week for years on end, it does not require us to test our "theory" beyond the point of reason.
In science, theories become accepted based on their predictive ability, the consistency and repeatable nature of their experimental findings, and the ability of the theory to explain all the observable facts.
See today's MFP article, Aftermath, for a possible connection.
Notice the date of AVR #4755, above, and its relationship to things going on in Michigan.
There is a detailed timeline of TMA Version 3.0 in the MFP King of the Road ...Map article.
